I was born in 1966 and currently live with my wife and son in Musselburgh, East Lothian.
Prior to moving to East Lothian in 2004, I lived in London and the South East of England. In my spare time I play golf at the championship links of Dunbar along with my sports mad son!
As a family we travel regularly to Norway, where my wife is from, to ski and visit family.
I began my career in financial services in 1983 working in the Banking Sector. Whilst there I qualified as a Chartered Banker and am a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland. I moved on to take up my first financial planning role in 1995 and joined Breed Elliott LLP in 2010. I am qualified to Diploma level with the Personal Finance Society (PFS) and continue to study towards Chartered Status with the London Institute of Banking & Finance.
During my working life I have been privileged to meet many clients at different stages of life, from widely varying backgrounds and with a variety of financial planning needs. This has provided me with a wealth of experience which has helped me to understand that, before you start to plan a client’s finances, you must first understand their aims and aspirations for the future.
